myGP adds Pharmacy2U delivery service for repeat prescriptions
iPlato's MyGP is one host of third party software services aiming to help GPs interact with patients online.

The myGP app has added Pharmacy2U to its platform which will provide a second delivery option for patients who are looking to order their repeat prescriptions.

The primary care app, created by iPLATO, already offers a click and collect service using community pharmacies as well as a home delivery service from LloydsDirect. Now it will also be offering delivery from Pharmacy2U.

Tobias Alpsten, founder and CEO of iPLATO Healthcare, said: ā€œWe’re privileged to help so many people access and adhere to vital medication.

ā€œUltimately, we want to help people stay healthy or symptom-free and out of hospital by offering help, convenience and great design to order, access and take prescription medication from their home, workplace or community.ā€

As well as allowing app users to easily order their repeat prescriptions at the touch of a button, myGP also offers other tools. This includes a medication reminder, health tracking and adherence history tools. Earlier this year the app also collaborated with Kooth, allowing NHS patients to gain better access to mental health services and self-refer to its digital mental health platform.

Alpsten added: ā€œThat myGP connects with two home delivery options and all community pharmacies in England and almost all GP practices allows us to scale these services to the millions of people who need them.ā€
