High profile Palantir and Foxglove debate to close Rewired 2023

The UK boss of US data analytics giant Palantir and the director of Foxglove, the advocacy group non-profit that fights to make tech fair for everyone, will go head-to head in the closing debate at Rewired.  

Louis Mosley from Palantir, who extended their contract with NHS England by six months in January for the national data platform, and Cori Crider from Foxglove will offer competing visions on how to ensure that the NHS gains maximum benefit from technology and data. 

This essential Rewired debate, chaired by Digital Health CEO Jon Hoeksma, will be the culmination of the two-day AI, Data and Analytics Stage at Rewired 2023. 

“The closing debate between Palantir and Foxglove will give the Rewired audience two competing views of how we can best deliver benefits from patient data,” said Hoeksma.  

The debate format will include opening arguments, audience questions and closing arguments.  

The morning of day two will open with a double keynote session from Professor Ben Goldacre and Dr Nichola Byrne, National Data Guardian for health and adult social care in England, on next steps on privacy and data. 

The day two programme, which focuses on data and analytics, also includes sessions on NHS Analytics in Action; NHS Big data in Action; and Big Data, Patients and Public consent. 

On day one the focus will be on AI.  Dom Cushnan, head of AI at NHS England will deliver the keynote address, followed by NHS AI in action case studies; a fantastic health AI start-up Masterclass; Accelerating AI in the NHS case studies; Innovate UK showcase and a session on the AI workforce.    

The debate, which will run from 15.45 to 16.45 on 15 March, has been relocated from the AI and Data Stage to the bigger Cyber Security Stage.
