National CIO and CNIO confirmed as Summer Schools keynotes

Two senior NHS England leaders have been confirmed as keynote speakers for Digital Health Summer Schools 2023, which takes place 27-28 July at the University of Birmingham.

John Quinn, interim CIO, and Dr Natasha Phillips, CNIO, will take to the stage to tackle the hot topics of digital transformation and answer the pressing questions posed to them.

Dr Melanie Iles, England’s first female national CCIO was confirmed as keynote last month, meaning Summer Schools will now feature NHS England’s CCIO, CIO and CNIO leadership team.

Helen Balsdon, deputy CNIO at NHS England, also joins the Summer Schools speaker line-up and will speak about the next steps for leading a nursing workforce in a digitally enabled environment.Ā Ā 

With 500 digital health professionals in attendance, you will learn from the best in the field and exchange best practices with like-minded peers.

The event’s key themesĀ this yearĀ are connecting current and future leaders; the evolution of digital leadership roles and strengthening collaboration.

Summer Schools offers two days of rewarding education, networking, and best practice exchange, along with theĀ unique opportunity to learn from the very best digital health leaders from across the UK.Ā All sessions will be CPD certified.

Bursary applications are currently open for theĀ Shuri Network,Ā FEDIP Future Digital Leaders,Ā Digital AHP and Pharmacy,Ā andĀ Nursing and Midwifery. Previous Summer Schools attendees are eligible toĀ apply; however, preference will be given to those that have no attended before.

Closing dates are Wednesday 10Ā May for the FEDIP bursary and Friday 12 May for the other bursaries.Ā Ā
