Patients Know Best (PKB) has launched GP data integration across England within its single patient record platform.Ā
The service, accessible via NHS login, allows adult patients to store a copy of data their GP has released in their PKB personal record, bringing together their health data into one place.
Since a soft release in May 2025, more than 900,000 patients have chosen to store their GP record in PKB.
Mohammad Al-Ubaydli, chief executive at PKB, said: āWe were already releasing over 20 million test results monthly through our hospital partnerships, now this comprehensive integration with all of England’s GP surgeries gives PKB true national coverage.
āThe development gives patients greater control over their health information and fosters better collaboration between healthcare providers.
“Improved data sharing enhances care coordination, minimises the risk of medical errors, and ultimately leads to better health outcomes.
āImportantly, the addition of coded data will empower the NHS and other healthcare organisations to deliver automated, personalised information to patients in the future.ā
The PKB software enriches the data released from the GP to the patient by adding SNOMED CT codes, including those for conditions and medications.
This creates a combined set of coded data ā including observations, measurements and symptoms entered by the patient or professionals ā which can enable automated information support for patients in the future.
The NHS App provides a view of GP data, with functionalities added by PKB. Patients can share their complete health record with family members, carers, and any healthcare professional globally.
The GP data integration directly addresses information gaps within the NHS, enabling safer care coordination.
Any adult in England can now add their GP data to their PKB record by logging in with their NHS login and selecting āGet my GP dataā. Patients will initially see demographics, diagnoses, medications and appointments with more information in the UI later in the year.
PKB announced in January 2025 that it had secured £6 million in funding to scale its personal health record platform in the UK and expand internationally.
In February 2025, PKB partnered with health tech startup PocDocĀ to enable patients to more easily access and share their screening results.
Then in April 2025, it was confirmed that digital health coaching service Holly Health will be available through the NHS App through a collaboration with PKB.
